With a focus on three simple aims – create value, create trust and create frictionless engagement.
In achieving our aims our objective is to build long term relationships.
As a team of experienced data people, we pride ourselves on our commitment to good work.
Having worked with some of the largest and well-known companies and organisations in the world we have learnt to make the biggest difference delivering in team units and exposing our customers to a diverse set of capabilities.
We offer several types of support but typically we have delivered a project or product and provide ongoing development and maintenance.
We can provide 24/7 remote support including responding to all support issues, performing root cause analysis of problems, and resolving all support issues in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
If there is a delivery team still active, we can add any support issues to the backlog and prioritise with the customer or product owner.
Our support contracts consist of developing playbooks and runbooks to build a service and support capability that can be standardised and automated as much as possible.
We do not just offer you a job we offer you a chance to make a real difference in our development as a company.
You will get early opportunities to work on solutions that accelerate your learning, develop your capability and provide value in the work you do.
Working with a company with a real passion for turning data into a valuable resource you will work with people with a likeminded attitude but a diverse set of experiences and capabilities.
While technology is only ever a means to an end, staying abreast of fast-changing tools and techniques is all part of the job
Our expertise is mainly focused around data services.
But it is only by understanding what your data is telling you that it can become useful and valuable.
Our Data Studio helps you gain insight, knowledge and understanding to make more informed decisions that create business value from the information you hold.
We do this in three ways:
1. Data analysis
By analysing your data, we can assess how, where and when your organisation is performing well, and when it isn’t. You can then use this information to make changes to your operations and processes, and run a more efficient and profitable business.
We’ve worked with media companies and helped them understand customer viewing habits. Our data analysis enables a better understanding of what programmes create the most value and how they are best delivered to improve service performance.
2. Data pipelines
Of course, plenty of you will already have the in-house expertise to analyse your data. But perhaps the data you have is not arranged in the best format, or the system you use to collect data is struggling to cope under the sheer weight of information you hold.
Again, we can help. Using the latest tools to ingest, organise and present your data in the most useful and accessible way, we can help you accelerate the processing of your information so that your data science and business intelligence teams can make the insights that create business value.
3. Automation and machine learning
Many of our clients are excited by the opportunities afforded by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and algorithms to automate their mobile stores, apps, websites and online systems.
We can help you create more powerful and intelligent operating models by developing automated workflows for key business functions.
We work with the retail sector to enhance recommender engines and boost product search functions by applying smart algorithms, for example – crucial for companies with an extensive catalogue of goods to be sold.
Creating value from data requires strong skills in data engineering, statistics, machine learning and data visualisation. We work across these areas to help you structure the data, find the insights and create outcomes that matter for your business.
Agile Values
Close collaboration and short feedback loops bring us to better ways of delivering software.
We are strong believers in agile. But we are collaborative and pragmatic, rather than prescriptive or religious.
We don’t believe in implementing a single Agile Method™ “by the book” – context is always king. That said, these principles guide us along the most direct route to satisfying the customer:
Close collaboration: a team moves together in the same direction by working together daily, which is why most of our work is done with the client, in their offices. We collaborate before negotiating, share problems (as opposed to dictating solutions), and retrospect together frequently.
Rapid feedback: Risk is reduced by frequently delivering working code to the business in short, time-bound iterations, allowing for constant feedback and ongoing quality assurance. Our DevOps Mindset means that the business gets feedback from real, working software that’s live to real customers.
“Everything should be as simple as possible, but not simpler.” – Albert Einstein
Keeping it simple: We do what is necessary, not what “might” be needed. The challenge isn’t deciding what product to build, it’s deciding what feature to build next.
“It doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to do. We hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.” – Steve Jobs
Empowered Teams: It’s very easy to de-rail a delivery team through command and control organisation structures and over-eager ‘HiPPOs’ (Highest Paid Person’s Opinion)! We expect our teams to be accountable for the products they deliver – but to do that, they must be involved in all aspects of decision making.
We are a strong believer in developing repeatable best practice playbooks.
Our playbooks keep us on track in creating value and create a open working space for us and our customers.
